The book presented here, “History Does Not Like the Subjunctive Mood, and Yet…,” is a supplementary and in many ways a revised version of “Would the USSR and Europe Have Withstood Fascism in the Event of Losing Baku Oil?” Diverse aspects of the Second World War and, above all, the oil factor, are examined in this book.
It is the first book in Azerbaijan in which the all-round contribution of Azerbaijan is examined within the context of the main events of the Second World War.
Previously classified facts and photographs are widely presented in the book.
